The thermal efficiency of the gas condensing boiler can reach 108%

Many users have doubts about the achievement that the efficiency of condensing boilers produced by Fangkuai boiler manufacturers can reach 108%. In their view, the definition of boiler efficiency is: the ratio of the effective energy of the boiler to the energy input by the boiler, that is, the boiler efficiency = effective energy / total energy input. According to this analysis, when the efficiency is greater than 100%, doesn't it mean that the effective energy of the condensing boiler is already greater than the input energy?

In fact, the heat generated by fuel combustion is divided into high-level calorific value and low-level calorific value. The high-level calorific value is what we see as the direct thermal efficiency of the boiler; but the low-level calorific value cannot be ignored. It is possible to exceed 100% and reach 108%.

If you want to achieve the ultra-high thermal efficiency of 108% of the gas condensing boiler, the following aspects must be in place.

       The first is to appropriately increase the heating surface of the boiler, and change the tail equipment such as the main heat exchanger and flue gas passage of the boiler to corrosion-resistant materials.

       The second is to change the original combustion method of the combustion system to a proportionally adjusted combustion method to ensure stable and efficient combustion.

       Finally, add a condensate drain system. After completing these tasks, the exhaust gas temperature of the boiler can be reduced to below 80℃. As the exhaust gas temperature decreases, the efficiency of the boiler naturally increases. The reasons for this come from two aspects:

       First, after the flue gas temperature is reduced, the heat loss of the boiler flue gas is also reduced. Since the exhaust heat loss is the main heat loss of the gas boiler, the boiler heat loss will be reduced and the efficiency will be improved.

       Second, when the exhaust gas temperature drops below 100°C, the water vapor in the flue gas will condense into water, and the heat released by the water vapor during the condensation process can be absorbed by the boiler, thereby improving the overall efficiency of the boiler. Usually, 1 kg of water vapor condenses into liquid water can release about 2,500 kilojoules of heat. It is because the boiler absorbs this part of the heat, which turns it into the effective heat of the boiler, thereby improving the efficiency of the boiler.
